- T/I: 10:38:44 Ballroom dancing is undergoing a renaissance in Japan. Although it came to the country in the 19th century, it has never been more popular than it is today. One pair of enthusiasts is dentist Kiichiro Tajima, 61, and his 52-year-old wife Hisae. Dr Tajima learned ballroom dancing while at university. Sixteen years ago, he encouraged Hisae to take up dancing with him and now there's rarely a night when they don't dance together. Having won more than 100 amateur dance prizes, they're now passing on their tips to their neighbours. Once a week, they give dance lessons.
