Spartanburg’s premier instructor Natalie Foreverland joins the Dirty Dancing Festival for the first time to show you how to ballroom, East Coast swing, and Latin dance. With Foreverland Dance, fans will be reminded of the movie’s hot dance sequences portrayed by the sultry dancers in the staff quarters. Grab your partner and take part in the 30-minute sessions learning the free-form, sensuous styles of dancing the Mambo, Salsa, Bachata, Waltz and Foxtrot.In honor of its namesake film, the Dirty Dancing Festival in the picturesque mountain town of Lake Lure, N.C. begins with a ticketed "Kick-Off Party" on Friday beginning at 5 pm, featuring live music and entertainment, dance lessons and vendors.The Festival continues on Saturday with a full day of live music, dance lessons, watermelon races and games, fun competitions and contests, and amazing dance performances. The day's events conclude with the hilariously renowned Lake Lift Competition at 5 pm where audacious couples re-enact Baby & Johnny's iconic water scene.
